Latest transmission medium, with the highest information carrying capacity
Chitranayak & Vinayak Ranjan
In this paper, optical fiber as a revolutionary transmission medium has been discussed. A large number of advantages, applications and theory & principles of propagation through optic fiber is presented. An experimental result of power budget for the transmission through an optical link has been analyzed.
Tandem Queuing System With Finite Capacities
Madhu Jain
Deepak Chikara
This paper deals with multi-class tandem queuing model to describe the dynamics of a system where priorities to the customers are assigned. It is assumed that there are finite intermediate buffer between k stations. An approximation method based on decomposition process is suggested to obtain the queue and in the buffer, the average waiting time etc. are obtained. The analytical results are validated by taking numerical illustration.
